Welcome to Cook Castle Rex’s home on the Web!  We are a relatively new, very small hobby rabbitry located in Van Buren, Arkansas.  We currently have four adult Standard Rex does, three junior does and three bucks.  We have Blacks and Blues (Solids and Otters) Castor, and Broken Black, but have gotten Chinchillas in some of our litters.  We recently added Mini-Rexes to our rabbitry.  Their colors are interesting, to say the least.  We have a tricolor doe, a broken sable point doe, a broken sable doe and a REW buck.  I’m looking forward to seeing what colors we get out of the crosses. 

While we are new to Rexes, we are not new to rabbits.  I raised New Zealand and California Whites semi-commercially for many years.  During that time, I obtained a blue otter Rex buck and really loved his gorgeous, velvety fur.  I sold out my meat rabbitry and when I was ready to raise rabbits again, decided to go with the Rex breed.  After a long search (Standard Rex are hard to find in Arkansas), I finally obtained some pedigreed Rex from Missouri and Louisiana and began breeding.
